Three whole months. How has it already been 1/4 of Three whole months. How has it already been 1/4 of a year with this amazing little human?! This month she learned where her hands are, continues to babble and try different sounds, and is starting to learn to blow raspberries. We’ve also learned together that me eating her hands and toes is the best, and warrants an ear-to-ear smile and coo. Her smiles and daily chats with the @bigassfans in the living room (last video) are a constant reminder of what’s important in life: her and our little family. ❤️
As people look back on their year, I’m tempted t As people look back on their year, I’m tempted to think about the career currently on pause, the books I should be writing, the house projects needing tending, and so many of my other typical, historical stats of recent years. 2024 looked a lot different for me. Yes, we still did things around the house. Yes, I still made progress at work. But after years of trying, 2024’s best stat is the growing, birthing, and thriving of our little love. If the past ~3 months are any indication, 2025 will have a more centered, focused path. Centered on Eva and B, focused on the necessary and important things: time together, continuing to learn, grow, and love. I can’t wait.

This time last year, I could only hope for what this Christmas might look like. And no matter what else is going on in the world, this little family is everything I need. ❤️
TWO MONTHS. I don’t know where time has gone and TWO MONTHS. I don’t know where time has gone and I’m sure that’s a sentiment that will continue. Our little nugget is growing, growing, growing! We’re finally getting the hang of feeding, and therefore sleeping better at night. She’s conversing in coos and ahhh and blasting us with smiles that downright melt our hearts. She’s still best friends with the fan, but recently also likes the kitchen, outside, and the dining room painting. Oh and shaking her fists like she’s up for a fight or a dance - dealer’s choice. Love her even more every day ❤️

Who’s the sweetest pumpkin pie? Thanksgiving lo Who’s the sweetest pumpkin pie? Thanksgiving looks wildly different from last year. Last year at Thanksgiving we were headed into our second egg retrieval attempt after a full year of failed IUIs, stressed and hopeful, and managing the regimen of medicines while going to see all of the families for the holiday. This year we had a quiet thanksgiving at home for the best of reasons: this perfect little pumpkin pie who is 50 days old today. I still can’t believe I get to be her mama. Beyond grateful for every moment with her, and forever grateful to do the hard and beautiful work of parenthood with the best teammate, @hoeflinger_32. Yeah. Thanksgiving looks wildly different from last year, and for that I couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️

Our little Eva is back at birth weight, growing by the day, starting to smile and coo, is best friends with the living room fan, and the most love in the smallest package we’ve ever seen. We are so thrilled to be your mamas, baby girl.

Given how much she made me crave chocolate milk during pregnancy, we couldn’t resist this outfit when we saw it. At 3wks in, I don’t think we could love this sweet little milk monster more, but I’m sure we’ll find a way to do so!
